So, this one is going to be a little technical but totally and completely full of emotions.
Everyone is rappelling, be it literally down a cliff or life. Well, isn’t life same as rappelling? The act of going down a very steep slope by holding on to a rope that is fastened to the top of the slope; and life is a series of moving from one phase to another and facing such ups and downs and not letting the rope of faith let go. Isn’t it? 😊
So, what are the essentials you need when you rappel?
· Ropes and anchor material
· Harness and gloves
Well, lets start rappelling down this blog as well 😊
When you climb up that cliff to start rappelling, wow full of adrenaline rush right? Quite adventurous!
You slowly move towards the end of the cliff, get ready to rappel down, you are standing literally on the edge!!! Well, don’t forget to wear your gloves and get all anchored up! You are here to enjoy and experience something, do it with all the required essentials please, you are not going there to suicide hahaha.
Anyway, you are all buckled up, you are standing on the edge, you hold onto the rope way too tight!! Well, you are feeling scared. So, let’s just have a little more faith and trust that the rope is there, we wont fall? Feeling a little better? Okay so you move a little, inclined, your body has no support but just the harness and your rope and your body is all in the air, but with your feet steady on the cliff. You are 180 degrees turned around wow. DO NOT LEAVE THE ROPE! TRUST THE PROCESS!
Yes, it is seeming a little scary right now, too steep and you have no idea what is next. So, let’s keep hanging and walk down slowly. Yes, yes, you are doing alright.
Yes, the surface of the cliff is very rocky! It is not smooth at all, but don’t worry, you have literally nothing to worry about. You are all safe. You are all protected. Just don’t let go of the rope. You will not get any bruise; you have your gloves on 😊
You slowly move from one phase to another; you are almost their honey! You feel more and more comfortable as time passes and you get used to how to deal with steep and smooth surfaces, right?
And voila! You have landed safely and with all your body parts intact! Phewww, what a ride! Isn’t it? Did you enjoy?
So, what did actually happen in this process?
Did you realise you made it all the way through the ups and downs of life?
Yes buddy! It isn’t that tough 😉
Let’s start relating now.
The ropes and anchor material, that’s your trust and faith. Never let it go. Be it in any relationship, your work or yourself, never let your faith and trust get undermined by distractions and obstacles. Yes, you might feel that at that very moment nothing seems to be working out and the world will collapse and what will you ever do aaaaghhh!!!!! Chill baby. Breathe. You haven’t landed on the ground yet, remember? You are still on your way. Trust the process of life and have faith. Trust the people who are there with you. Trust the relationship, trust your well wishers and most importantly, trust yourself.
If someone or something makes you lose trust or faith, well they were never your harness and gloves, they were just a stupid piece of rock on that cliff. Let them go cutie!
So, this brings me to the second part- Harness and gloves.
Harness and gloves denote the people who make your journey super comfortable and easy! Your partners in crime!
It's all combined, every equipment is totally useless without one another.
Trust your harness man, its your harness who will help you feel comfortable when you are full of anxiety, rush and confusion. Your gloves are there for a reason, they are telling you that you are not alone. You don’t have to take all the pain with your bare hands and get bruised. Take support. Full support.
In any kind of relationship, be it with yourself or any other person, be it family, your sister, your life partner , co- worker, friend, literally anyone in this world, you’ll come across many instances where you’ll feel like giving up, you might even feel scared, or sometimes it would seem too easy.
Well, that’s the game of life. You will face many ups and downs, but with the right people, immense love, trust and support, you’ll get through ANYTHING!
You are not alone; you don’t have to feel that way at all! You don’t have to face and deal with all this trauma on your own. Nope. Not acceptable. Be kind to yourself. Love yourself. Get your damn gloves and rope and rappel down the Mount Everest!! Okay too much. But you get it, right?
Trust the process of life that has been planned for you. I give you all the assurance, that if you keep this equipment handy, you will chill and rappel through everything easily 😊
